Appointments Post

This post is for threading with Emmet anytime and anywhere. It can be used for Action or the Ring feature on journals to get in contact with him for personal conversations. It's also ideal for when your character and Emmet are threading in another character's post without input from that character.

Note: When making a new thread, please title it as such:

[Action/Voice/Written, Month Date]
Example: [Action, May 10th]

[it wonders the same thing, emmet. all these crazy people with different coloured cloaks and legs coming from their head areas. it's kinda weird.

but it doesn't know why that's weird.

it looks up at emmet and twirls its cloak around its body, the cloth spinning about lazily.]

Well, I'm a human, at least. Most of us around here are, I think... I think you're the only one of you.

[Even though Emmet's addressing the traveler, he's mumbling more as though he's talking to himself. Hmm...]

[chirpchirp]

[it tilts its head when it hears Emmet talking, not sure what he is saying. it sounds like he's talking about the traveler, but it can't understand enough to parse it out.

it waits for a moment and then jumps into the air, twirling around as it lets out a large sound wave. the bubble of energy expands out along with a rune in the air.]

Whoa-- whoa.

[The pulse didn't do anything other than ruffle his coat, some, so despite the initial start, he calms down. Wow, that's pretty cool.]

That must be how you talk, huh?

[chirpchirp]

[it calls out in short bursts and then tilts its head at Emmet. it somewhat understands what he is saying, but it isn't quite sure.]

Hmm... I can't do that weird sound that you make, but I can whistle.

[And he'll try a little whistling! He responded to it before, after all.]

[chirpchirp]

♩♬♩♪♩♩♪♬♪！

[yep and it responds again now, trilling in a quick succession of tones]

Hmm... can you match me?

[And now we're going to do a sing-along, whoops. Why not whistle the tune of Lullaby For Trains? At least, for the first few notes, waiting to see if the traveler would match.]

[chirpchirp]

[hm.... the traveler listens for a bit and then chimes in when there are notes it understands, trilling along with Emmet in a broken melody]

[Luckily, Emmet keeps whistling and humming the same tune repetitively, giving the traveler plenty of practice to keep up!]

[hooray!

it keeps trying, but there are certain notes it simply can't sing. it chimes along like a violin thrums and then turns in a circle]
