3rd Station ➲ Written

[Emmet woke one morning with an unpleasant surprise: Ingo was gone, as were all of his things. After a while, he found a few things left behind intentionally. And so Emmet begins his little message; it's written in slow, legible and careful handwriting.]

Subway Boss Ingo has left the station known as Luceti and has thankfully returned to the Gear Station located in Nimbasa, Unova.

He has left farewell letters of varying length for the following people:

• Miss Hilda
• Miss Mei
• Gold
• Miss Yellow
• Red
• Green
• Cilan
• Miss Platina
• Masaomi Kida
• Hiccup
• Miss Shiemi

I'm holding onto the letters, so if you like, please come and see me to receive your letter. I currently reside in Community Building #1, 7th floor, room #34.

...Mm, of course. [But you don't have to thank us for something like that. Cilan closes his eyes, thinking.] ...Although, I suppose I should be thanking him properly for his help, too. When I first arrived here in Luceti several months ago, his was the only familiar face that I knew of here. Even though we didn't have the same memories, being from "parallel lines", if you will, Ingo still offered his assistance to us as well.

[Which isn't surprising to us that he would...but even so, he's not here so we can't say "thank you" now. Though he'd like to think that Ingo probably knew we were grateful for his help, and it didn't need to be said by now.]

Because no matter how shy he is, Ingo loves to help people. People say we are surprisingly different for twins. But I see nothing but similarities!

[He nods. The Ingo of our world was in fact similar to Emmet in a way, as he did smile a little more than Ingo did here. Though considering where here is, it's not surprising at all to not be as smiley as you would be elsewhere. Nonetheless--]

I agree. You both have your differences, yes, but you also have your similarities, and that's not just based on physical appearance. You're both admirable trainers and considerate towards others, as well as reassuring and someone that can be relied upon, whether it's someone who has lost their Pokemon somewhere in the subway, or even here.

[That touches his heart, and makes him wonder again if he's fallen out of love. That genuinely makes him happy, to hear something like that, and he's speechless for a bit.]

[His hands twist at his coat, a bit.]

Do you mind if I... rely on you? For a little while, at least... being a single-car train is a little too difficult for me.

Mm, I understand...it can be a bitter taste to suddenly lose a car or two, and can take time to temporarily adjust to a new schedule until the missing cars are together once again. [Cilan's always been part of a group of three for the longest time (Chili and Cress, Ash and Iris) before he arrived here almost eight months ago, so...he thinks he can understand how Emmet feels at the moment.]

You can rely on me for whatever you need, I don't mind at all. [We said so once before back a few weeks ago, didn't he? That still hasn't changed--he wants to be someone that others can rely on, and perhaps even vice-versa.] If there's anything that I can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask.

Then please... if it's alright?

[He holds his arms out, gesturing to ask for a hug. It's childish, buuuut it's what he wants to ask of Cilan.]

[Cilan's a little surprised at the gesture, but it's easy to figure out what Emmet's asking for. After a moment he nods, setting his tea aside and moving closer.

It's not as cuddly as the chocolates-induced hugging was back during the last shift, but Cilan is willing to accept the hug, and hug him back in return. Maybe a little awkward and making it obvious that he doesn't have a lot of experience getting to hug more people that are not his brothers or his Pokemon, but certainly not stiff and the sentiment is clearly there.]

...I'm sorry. [We're sorry that the two of you have to be separated again because of this place.]

[That's fine, Emmet doesn't need cuddly. He clings onto Cilan, holding him tight and close.]

Thank you.

[All he wants now is this shoulder to rest his head on. That's all he needs, right now... already, he seems to calm. He's still got someone to rely on, even if he worries that he's asking too much.]

From here on out, please, count on me to help you with anything.

[That's good. If our hug really is helping you feel better, then Cilan's glad. At Emmet's words, he smiles slightly.]

Alright...if it's okay, then please allow us to rely on you a little as well. [But today, and possibly for a little while longer, our main concern is looking out for you. He'll sit here in this spot with you for as long as you want us to.]

[You're a good friend, Cilan! A truly great one. Even if things got complicated, Emmet is glad that he met you.]

...Would you consider moving into this room with me? I'm not accustomed to living alone.

[Well okay maybe he needs to complicate things just a bit more.]

[nani--that's not exactly something he was expecting to hear]

Really? [We practically live right next door already, but he's still a little surprised that you'd offer for him to live here.] You wouldn't mind sharing the same space as us here?

[Then again, you're Emmet, of course you wouldn't mind considering you're the one who asked us to stay here, but the reason Cilan is asking to confirm it might have something to do with the last serious discussion we had, regarding whether you still had romantic feelings for us or not from that shift.]

Of course not, as long as you'd like to.

[There's really no elaboration needed on that!]

[Well we wouldn't want to make things unintentionally awkward for you if you were still harboring romantic feelings for us, that's all! But Cilan doesn't know that the shift finally wore off on you, hence his slight concern in that regard.

But...would it really change anything if we were living here rather than a few feet away and separated by a wall? Maybe, maybe not. It would certainly be a little less lonely, and that's something either one of them could probably stand to do without, especially Emmet who has to start dealing with being here without Ingo now.]

Well...if you're sure, then I don't suppose it could hurt. [At least for a little while, or in the possibility of Ingo somehow returning here.]

[At that, Cilan shakes his head--we don't think you should start heading down that line of negative thinking right now.]

I don't think it's necessarily selfish to want to have someone here with you. [He offers a smile again.] So please don't worry, I promise that it's not a bad taste in any way--it might even be a nice change of pace.

[Rather than just being on his own with his Pokemon next door, it might be nice to be living within the same space as other people again, even if it wasn't his brothers or even Ash and Iris.]
