3rd Station ➲ Written

[Emmet woke one morning with an unpleasant surprise: Ingo was gone, as were all of his things. After a while, he found a few things left behind intentionally. And so Emmet begins his little message; it's written in slow, legible and careful handwriting.]

Subway Boss Ingo has left the station known as Luceti and has thankfully returned to the Gear Station located in Nimbasa, Unova.

He has left farewell letters of varying length for the following people:

Hi Emmet! Someone you know finally got to go home, huh? That's lucky!

[Oh, miss Vanellope! Emmet's not quite got the heart to answer with voice, since he knows he's gotten a lot more somber, so he writes instead.]

Yes! My brother, Ingo, finally went home. He was here way too long.

[Oh, well, she can roll with that. Of course, the nearest pen is a crayon, and it's green. And her writing, while childlike in its size (taking up too much space there!) is in surprisingly loopy cursive.]

Your brother was here? that's Cool! it's cool he went Home though.

[Of course he did. That's how this world works and anyway Raven should be used to losing people she likes.

[Excuse his written response, Masaomi. He has more faith in controlling his written tone than his voice right now.]

It seems that even you had an impact on his stay here. I haven't opened it to see if it's long or short, or what it says.

["Even him," huh. He shakes his head and then nods to himself]

I'll be there later then?

[Silver's entirely unaware of the journal message Emmet threw up. His journal has been long forgotten. What he's not unaware of is the location of Ingo and Emmet's apartment. He... He wouldn't mind seeing Ingo right now.

A few hours after Emmet's journal entry goes up, a completely unaware Silver knocks on the door to their apartment. Anyone home?...]

[Emmet hears the knock, and it actually takes a minute for it to be answered. Emmet collects himself, inhaling and exhaling, straightening his jacket and finally opening the door.

Ah! Silver... Silver's was right underneath Emmet's.]

Welcome, Silver. Please come in.

[This is not the usual Emmet! He seems a looooot more serious and somber. But there's still that weird smile, that doesn't go away. It's not Ingo in Emmet's clothes.]

[tsuntrader]

[He's just about to open the door and peek his head inside anyway when Emmet opens the door, and...

...Something's wrong. Something's very wrong, but before saying anything, he makes sure to nod and enter the apartment.]

What happened? [What else happ... wait. Wait.] And where's Ingo?

[cilantro]

[...So that made three friends that appear to have left recently. Our friend Sakura, noting Gold's disappearance reported by Crystal, and now even Ingo as well...

Cilan starts to write something out about whether it's okay for us to come over or if he wants company, but then he changes his mind and decides to just go over anyway, we practically live right next door, after all. And Emmet's our friend, and we want to make sure he's okay in person. So (sometime either before or after Silver's arrival?) he'll stand outside of Emmet's door and knock on it.]

[Emmet opens the door, and the tension he was holding in his shoulders fades. It looks as though the man completely deflates, both in relief and in sadness.

He no longer had the shift affecting his feelings for Cilan, and he had noted it briefly... but in light of this event, Emmet had absolutely no time to think on it. All that he knew now was that his heart ached for Cilan's company, but instead of a yearning for romance it was a desperate need for support.

Wordlessly, Emmet steps aside to offer him entry.]

[Cilan offers a smile--not even close to being as vibrant as it usually is, but still a small one before stepping inside. While he has vaguely recalled that Emmet has romantic feelings for us (he's not aware that it's past tense now though) that's not really an issue to be concerned about right now.]

Um--[Are you okay? What did Ingo's letter say about us?] I could make some tea for us while I'm here, if you'd like?

[--Okay that kinda slipped out and yes, he knows that's backwards for the guest to offer making tea for you, but if we can offer any of our expertise that could be helpful or of use, then we will?]

[Shiemi can't avoid this one. There is a letter for her, and if she doesn't pick it up that would be mean and terrible of her. It might be a long while before she makes it there, but once she arrives she'll knock softly - almost as if she doesn't want it to be heard.]

[Oh, but she is heard. Emmet answers the door, smiling down at her.]

Hello, Miss Shiemi.

[The smile catches her off guard. The blonde stares at him while at a loss for words. This... this must be hurting Emmet, right? Or is he happy Ingo is home? It could be both. Is it impolite to say "sorry" about this? At this moment she realizes she doesn't know anything.

You've both been very kind to me. So... I'm glad that he's back, but I'm sorry that you're here without him, Mr. Emmet.

[ Hilda doesn't write a response and simply shows up at Emmet's door a few minutes after reading his message, banging on the door with a little more force than intended. Dammit. She had started to get to know him better and now this had to happen. Even if it's better this way and she can see him anytime she wants once it's her turn to leave, it still hurts and she's sure it must be a thousand times worse for Emmet. ]

[Well, Hilda'll hear something drop and clatter on the floor. The banging startled him! But he opens the door not long after.]

Ah! Miss Hilda.

[ she doesn't need to see or hear Emmet to know that he's probably heartbroken right now. those two were probably the closest brothers she had ever met... she can't imagine how it feels for him.

when she reads over his message and sees that he left a letter for her, a little lump in her throat starts to build. he was an adult that she could look up to, and the fact that he was gone was a hard pill to swallow.

she tries to steady her voice when she responds, but it's tough. ]
